The Master

long overdue for a rewatch. i think if you want to be an actor this should be as much of an essential viewing as anything else. what phoenix and hoffman accomplish in just over two hours is nothing short of a revelation. any scene where it's just the two of them i could watch for hours. and the script? what a gift as an actor to have each character already so rich with intricacies and flaws on paper. underrated masterpiece.
