Office space on crack (literally).

Pretty awful watch. I was on board with the relatively grounded first 45 min. I thought it was about the underappreciation of non-working spouses. If a marriage consists of a non-working partner, who cares for home/children, and a working partner - they are still considered equals and if they divorced their property would be divided evenly. I thought this was then going to be about how society still treats the non-working partner as lesser, doesnt give them the same authority, even if they are actually taking on a far larger share of the labour than the "working" one. Then in the latter half it descends into chaos with all the religious fanaticism stuff which is really just unpleasant and not in a fun way.

So unpleasant yet incredible - never seen anything quite like it. Great mix of fun cinematography with some fixed overhead stuff and then drawn out one shots and cameras flipping upside down covering a mix of screaming and music and screaming and sex and screaming and drugs. Just a frenetic mess that works really well. Very well paced. If there was a script it would be interesting to see what Noe even wrote haha
