Rewatching my previous favorite films
Masterpiece and easily my fav camerawork and cinematography oat
Tbh everything is perfect about this film: score, camerwork, acting and etc
I especially love the narrative that is shown as a monologue/stream of consciousness which metaphorically makes every victim represent someone from the past of the killer, so the shown events are some sort of revenge which is his motive. His inability to satsify the revenge makes hik a remorseless and violent killer that is unstoppable
The thing is that this film set a very high bar for all other serial killer thrillers so they could not compete in terms of authenticity with this one
It makes this film the standard of serial killer thriller just as the texas chain saw massacre is the standard of horror
In other words, Angst achieves some special and weird feeling that all subsequent films couldnt ans thats why i love this film so much
