The Shining
One of those enigmas where everything seems to lead me giving it a 5, all time performances, great execution of a simple premise, memorable scenes, amazing visual storytelling, music, editing. Yet I just can't even on a 3rd watch, don't even know what it is, but something is missing that I can't put my finger on. For that I truly apologize to Mr. Kubrick, even more so because this is my favorite of his.
