The Thing

Fucking amazing. The Thing is a prime example of the absolute pinnacle of horror, which was the 80s. Everything that’s right with this movie, is completely lost today. Every single character has some sort of thriving characteristics that will make you sit and question who this “Thing” is, creating this uneasy and tense feeling within the group and it’s just crafted perfectly. I was expecting this over the top gore and ridiculous deaths, which it was, but it’s done fantastically without the use of cgi which makes things even better because It feels so much more violent. Setting this in such an isolated setting brung such a massive element of tension and fear. Not a single filler scene to get the runtime a bit longer, perfection. How fucking cool is Kurt Russell by the way.
