Punch-Drunk Love
" I didn't do anything. I'm a nice man. I mind my own business. So you tell me 'that's that' before I beat the hell from you. I have so much strength in me you have no idea. I have a love in my life. It makes me stronger than anything you can imagine. I would say 'that's that', Mattress Man."
A film needs to make you feel what they want you to feel. This does it. It pulls you in immediately with the piano. And it just keeps pulling. Phil Hoffman, pudding, frequent flier miles, and phone sex. Who would've thought that this would've been perfect?
Obviously not the critics. They doubted PTA and Sandler. But they pull this off perfectly. Seamlessly. I feel like this is my own first love. This will never leave my top 4 films.
