Superman

The DCU is officially off to an unbelievably great start. James Gunn manages to deliver a true comic book experience with this movie. Skipping over Clark’s origins, the movie throws you right into the story and runs at an incredible pace.  Gunn continues to prove he understands and has a passion for the characters he is bringing to life. The Daily Planet is more alive, and Gunn creates a Jonathan and Martha Kent that feel authentic to the parts of America Smallvile is modeled after. They truly are the heart and soul of the movie despite not having very large roles. Cornswet and Bronson are fantastic as Clark and Lois, the chemistry shown in the marketing leading up to the movies release definitely carries over from the film.  The comic book nerd in me can go on and on. I truly had a shit eating great time with this one.
