Marianne had a certain intensity to her and Connell was more complex hidden I’d say The lack of communication was actually pissing me off at some point Although Marianne and Connell had their own stuff going on I feel as though they were meant for each other very high highs and low lows for both of them Again if they had communicated efficiently they could have easily made things a hundred times better for each other and skipped past a lot but I think they learned a lot too but in the end you can really tell they were mature about things which shows massive growth from who they were in the beginning  I loved this very much but I would never rewatch it I felt as though I went through every emotion imaginable
