Sinners
Was it like that for you?
Generational. One Battle is great but it doesn’t touch this. This is special. This is maybe my favorite movie of the decade so far. I can’t think of a single thing I would change. Michael B. Jordan’s Oscar was so deserved, and don’t let a fussy Chalamet stan tell you any different. Timmy will get his Oscar eventually, but this moment belongs to Michael, and Ryan, and Sinners. I am disappointed this didn’t walk out of the ceremony with more awards, but at the end of the day this is the award. All that matters is that at the end of the day Sinners is real, it’s that good, and it’s going to be here for generations to come. A perfect ensemble, a perfect screenplay, one of the best scores I’ve ever heard, and flooring cinematography. Every word spoken is for good reason, and every shot shown is crucial. This is almost too good to be true territory. It’s remarkable that films are still being produced like this, star-studded blockbusters that resonate on a deeper level and will be talked about for generations to come. Ryan Coogler is a genius. I can’t wait to see what him and everyone involved does next.
This should’ve also taken song, casting, director, picture, and more, but the 4 wins are more than enough. So lucky to exist at the same time as Sinners.
That fucking ending bro
