Ted 2

Rewatching this movie made me realise just how awful it is. I mean this is real bad but I absolutely love it.
The ted films are some of my absolute favourites. I find them so consistently funny and will defend that Seth McFarlane is a genius. This was just as funny upon rewatch and is funny as the first film.
That being said, it’s noticeably awful. It’s clunky and all over the place. The message is weak and unclear. It fails at most attempts to be emotional the score is definitely lacking.
Part of me wishes it was a better film: that there’s powerful emotion and messaging, that there’s love and development of the characters or just that it’s generally of a half decent standard. The other half is glad it’s technically poor because it adds to that feeling of a comfort movie. I can for see these films being some of my most rewatched throughout my lifetime.
So many hilarious and quotable moments. This is what comedies are meant to be.
