Bro Lord Hidetora got so much aura. There’s a lot I can say about Ran but the performance of this film’s King Lear was such a standout to me. His swag too strong, his drip too clean even when he’s basically senile the entire movie.  This is the closest thing I’ve seen to being technicolor without actually using technicolor.
