Sentimental Value

Incredible. Dangerously close to 5 stars. Stellan and Renate were unbelievable, Inga was phenomenal as well. Beautifully shot, it looked so gorgeous. The story is powerful without coming on too strong. The subdued quality to it all (including the performances) is what made it. It was so real, so relatable. I am absolutely going to need a rewatch. I cried out of the sheer power of remembering how good movies can be lmfao. I haven't watched as many films this year as usual and this makes me regret it. It's truly the best art form there is. Also, the Irreversible call out had all of the insufferable movie snobs (me included, don't be deceived) laughing as annoyingly loud as we could so to be sure everyone knew we got the reference lmfao. Wonderful film. Cinema.
