Moonlight
I don't think i've ever seen a film understand vulnerability this well.
Every rewatch makes me notice less dialogue and more eye contact.
The way Chiron avoids looking at Kevin until he finally lets himself be seen. the disgust in his mother's eyes. the cruelty in Terrel's. This film speaks through faces more than words.
The scene where Juan teaches Chiron how to float might be one of the gentlest things I've ever watched. For a few minutes he doesn't have to fight the water or the world, he just lets himself exist.
