Alien: Romulus

Sure this film is derivative of the previous Alien films and it can be a bit fan servicey but it's incredibly scary and a wild experience. Director Fede Alvarez just knows how to do horror so well. Cailee Spaeny has been on a row lately with films such as "Priscilla" and "Civil War" and she killed it here, she's such a badass I loved her so much, David Jonsson was the standout performance for me tho tbh he is phenomenal. And as I previously mentioned this film is filled with homage to the entirety of the Alien franchise and ties them all together in such an unexpected fashion. And the final act was genuinely bonkers, holy fuck. I honestly don't get the hate this has received by some people lol, its amazing, it's fun, it's scary, very well paced, incredible performances, beautiful cinematography and amazing visual and practical effects. 5/5.
