FUCKING PHENOMENAL!!! it's original and beautiful both visually and narratively. Made with care, love and with a personal touch. Ryan Coogler genuinely keeps surprising me as a filmmaker and writer. The amount of effort poured into this is seen and felt. The amazing creative choices, and incredible performances from the ensemble cast. Michael B. Jordan is the star and is superb. But I gotta give both Wunmi Mosaku and newcomer Miles Caton their flowers respectively. The cinematography is fucking impressive, by far Coogler's best looking film. Ludwig Göransson is fantastic as always with this amazing score. Its beautiful showcase about the cultural and historical significance of music throughout the Black South is just brilliant. It's themes are complex yet intriguing diving into the topics of history, spirituality, racism, and the desire for power. The horror is fantastic as well. It's a great representation of Southern gothic horror. It's bloody, violent and scary. With ecstatic performance as the main antagonist, Remmick, played by Jack O'Connell. With again Coogler's extensive research on the historical significance of Irish culture in the American south. Please, GO WATCH SINNERS!!! IT'S AN AMBITIOUS MASHUP OF HORROR AND FANTASY AND MUSIC THAT'S INTRICATELY CRAFTED AND BEAUTIFULLY MADE. I'M GIVING THIS A 5/5. (PS that mid credit scene is amazing).
