If you’re a podcaster and/or producer who’s worked on sound, this one’s for you. Also tugs on the heartstrings of those who have ever had to walk through end of life care as well
As expected, the sound design was unreal and man at those last few moments when it’s all unraveling, they really turned it up to 11 because that sent chills down my spine multiple times
The performances and character development were way better than I was anticipating. Both the main character and her co-host. To me, that’s really hard to do when most of the movie is just one person
The ending was open ended which, I’m a fan of, and sets it up for more which… I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, but i need a sequel to this one.
My only complaint was some of the visual cues were overdone and misleading- I was constantly over exerting my attention to look for things that weren’t there which took away from the audio experience
I might see it one more time in theaters but I’m thinking either couch x headphones or if you have it.. at your desk with a podcast setup would be the most authentic experience to watch this film
Making audio the centerpiece of a film is risky, and I fucken love it. More movies like this pls
