Alien
The perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility.
...
I admire its purity. A survivor... unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality.
I loved the atmosphere this film created.
The ship is dark, quiet, and isolated, making you unsure about every corner and room, while the alien takes out your team, one by one.
And speaking of the team, the film does an outstanding job at realistically displaying the characters personalities and their dialogue.
It has a very similar vibe to The Thing.
It's also a small group of isolated workers getting terrorized by an intelligent, virus-like predator from space.
Ripley reminded me of Hooper from Jaws. She's the logical and realistic one.
It's even funnier, because while watching Jaws, I said to myself that he's the perfect type of person to survive a horror movie.
And now Ripley did exactly that, because of that similar mindset.
The last scene is awesome.
You feel just as relieved as Ripley, while also sensing that it's somehow not over yet.
By the way, it's creepy how the alien hangs on for dear life, to the last second.
I mean, he survives: chemicals, the vacuum of space, and the engine heat.
Pure tension.
The cat was extremely cute.
Hissed at the huge, predatory abomination of space in true (orange) cat fashion.> Come on, cat.
