WALL·E
WALL-E was my favorite movie as a kid.
It has this unique vibe and atmosphere that spoke to me like no other kids movie or cartoon did.
I remember begging my mom to change the channel on New Years Eve to watch it. She wanted to watch something that exclusively played during New Year's and got kind of irritated, but she eventually got as interested in it as me. And those are the memories that place this movie so close to my heart.

*I love how the environmental message is presented and conveyed. It teaches that big corporations shouldn't be trusted, as their unrestricted power and resources can leave deadly effects on our world.> *A is for Axiom, your home sweet home.*
*B is for Buy N Large, your very best friend. It's great for showing a child how this precious planet of ours can be eventually destroyed by ourselves if nothing is done.> That doesn't look like Earth. Where's the blue sky? Where's the grass?*I'd even say it's kinda ahead of its time.
Because, right now, society is as close as ever to the image of obese people staring at screens all the time.> Time for lunch... in a cup!> Try blue, it's the new red!I love the details and visuals in all the space scenes.
Seeing the moon with the landing site,
the sun and its solar flares,
the icy rings on Saturn,
and the colorful galaxies with individual stars scattered everywhere. It's amazing.
But even more beautiful than that is the love story between WALL-E and Eve.
It's so adorable how they say eachothers names with their muddy robotic voices.
The progression is perfect, from:
Eve being cold and solely focused on her objective, to repairing WALL-E and restoring his memory.
They hold hands, dance in space, watch movies, and kiss by an electrical zap.
It shows a simple yet very valuable perspective on love that many of us could learn from.
And lastly, I noticed upon rewatching that this is basically like 2001:ASO for kids.
I mean, the music, certain scenes, and, of course, the ship's computer are all directly from the film.
And I appreciated the references very much now that I've actually seen ASO.
To me, Wall-E is perfection.
It's applicable to both kids and adults; it conveys an important environmental message, tells a delicate and beautiful love story, references arguably the best film ever made, and it's about space.
It has it all, and it's also from the same year I was born.
