Getting flashbacks to early MCU right now and I think this probably would’ve been massive for me as a kid. There’s a LOT of issues here but what matters is Kara, who’s integrated well into this universe as Clark’s foil. Messy and fun, Milly rocks and Lobo talks (a decent amount)!

Second viewing of this is gonna hit like a truck. Park Chan-wook has a talent of derailing your senses with his gorgeous visuals; a Hitchcockian atmosphere reminiscent of *Vertigo*, just blown away by how twistedly romantic this is, layers upon layers that all tie back to crashing seas and **solitary** mountains.

Somehow feels empty and full of love at the same time. I slept on this one and still don’t know how to feel about the falling dominos that are the entire movie, a kinetic narrative that only slows down to pull you close and ask you: “What if?” Spielberg is still his usual blockbuster magician self, Kaminski’s weaving camera work supported by a leading cast of mainly British actors playing Americans, and a John Williams score that dragged me back to my childhood through nostalgic melodies. So what’s the problem? I might just be a cynic but my suspension of disbelief started dissipating by the final third through “reveals” and odd emotional resolutions, and up until that point I was intensely engaged. Thematically it’s a mixed bag, the concepts here just don’t mesh entirely; I wanna reconcile my feelings and despite this probably needing another watch, I don’t even know if I want to. Wish I felt more moved. Completely baffling.

Things I will do: visit Ireland! Things I will not do: do shrooms in the woods! The foreshadowing was **heavy** here. Really didn’t care for Adam Scott in this but still some fun scares.
