Unbelievable
Recently, I've been diving into my list of TV shows that I haven't seen, and came across this one the other day, thinking "Why not?". What I didn't know was that the show would leave me bursting with emotions, a raging feeling in my gut the entire time.
The show's main cast was absolutely sublime. Dever, Wever, and Collette kept my eyes glued to the screen with their performances, with Collette keeping my spirits up with her spontaneous dialogue, and Dever with claustrophobic scenes that broke my heart.
Unbelievable is a necessary and much needed series. I'm thankful to the creators of this show, for making something that is both engaging and educational, without being too preachy, and handling the subject matter with care and maturity. Sometimes people are less inclined to watch media that's too realistic, or too sensitive content-wise, and it's disappointing to think about. But the important thing is that this story was told, as these stories are very real, and are very much believable.
