I had a really really great time (8/10 or 4/5)
Notes: Didn’t even watch a single horror movie all of October and as soon it hits November I watch one lol. I heard that the movie is on streaming and saw great reviews when it came out so I was excited to watch. I had a superb time as this film had me dying of laughter all through out all while being creeped out.
Fav Part: Cinematography was the best I’ve seen in a while. The camera movements brought out all the right feelings of dread and suspense. It just was so perfect and had me smiling with glee on the slow reveals and sideways chase scenes.
Sec Fav Part: I am not a fan of horror movies what so ever but this was a blast, seeing this in the theatres would have been ecstatic. I really loved how they were able to switch between humor and fear in such a neat way. Each character had their share of comedy and death defying sequences. Did not feel like 2 hours.
Quick Pros: The movie is shown through different perspectives and culminates with all of their parts meeting up and I really adored that. Gladys is super freaky and scary especially when she was in the woods. Paul’s story line was actually super hilarious. Also just liked Josh Brolens character as he was the most believable character that brought great scenes.
Quick Cons: Dialogue was very poor in scenes that could have easily been cut out. The teacher character was very unlikeable and we luckily saw less of her point of view towards the end. Very abrupt ending that does not fulfill all the questions asked. Also just blatant product placement with all the mentions of Coca Cola and Soup.
Overall: Amazingly enjoyable and recommended to anyone not fans of the horror genre.
