La Haine

100/100 handing out 5 stars like 'candy' but at this point man who actually cares. this film manages to be unserious and entertaining throughout despite centralizing serious topics like violence and police brutality. the cinematography and editing is great and I thought the transitions across shots were awesome, eg the gun shot in the mirror. it's just a bunch of guys chilling, what more could you really want? the end is absolutely insane as well
