Sinners
It’s been 24 hours since I had the privilege of seeing this absolute masterpiece in 70mm. A PRIVILEGE. I can’t wrap my head around how someone is so talented and knowledgeable and dedicated to creating a theatrical experience that will go down in history. Ryan Coogler, we are not worthy of your mind. Not worthy of your game. But I’ll try to keep up.
Sammy playing the blues at the club and conjuring the spirit of what was, the current and the future, is one of the most impactful film scenes I have ever gotten to witness. Genuinely had me crying from being in the moment knowing that I was witness such a beautiful piece of representation. Cooglers dedication to bringing authenticity is what truly makes this movie. And I believe that no one else could have made this film with as much soul and passion and make it truly a memorable masterpiece besides him.
I’ve been stuck with the need to rewatch and rewatch and rewatch to the point where I know the ins and outs.
I would love to see a film about the Native American vampire hunters. Because are you kidding me. My body almost levitated out of my seat when they made an appearance. I NEED MORE.
