Scream 7

I’m definitely less mad about this movie than I was at first. I gave it a rewatch cause I found an HD version online and I was drunk on the first viewing. But a lot of my criticism still applies. This feels less like a Scream movie and more like a Heart Eyes. Why would we ditch the meta aspect in a series built off the back of meta? Why are we playing it safe? I took more notice this time that the movie really does make fun of a lot of the fanbase who ended up liking this movie. So many shots at people who think Stu is alive or Scream is nothing without Sidney. It’s painfully average but has some interesting ideas that a better writer could’ve done well with. The script changed so many hands that I can’t put the blame on exclusively Kevin Williamson or Guy Busick.
