HOLY SHIT??? I'M GIVING THIS MOVIE FIVE STARS ALMOST FOR THE ENDING ALONE??? JAW DROPPED OH MY GOD. AND THE SONG THAT PLAYS OVER THE CREDITS IS STUNNING IT'S SO PRETTY AND IT MAKES THE ENDING EVEN MORE IMPACTFUL OH MY GOD UGHHHH I WATCHED THIS BECAUSE I WANT TO FUCK DICK VAN DYKE BUT THW ONLY THING GETTING FUCKED IS MY MIND??? NORMAN LEAR WHEN I CATCH YOU??? so...???? yeah dick van dyke thirst watch paid off? i find this look with the greying fluffy hair so incredibly sexy. easily one of my favourite eras of his, and it's what got me hooked on him in the first place. there's a quick shot of his chest hair after his jogging in a tank top and gay little shorts. he's also soooo sweaty in this movie. so powerful and dominating. plus there's those beautiful blue eyes of his. the scene where he starts feeling up his wife when the guy on the radio suggests having sex to satisfy the urge to smoke hhhbgn... but i don't want my daddy anymore i want to stare at the ceiling with my mouth wide open thinking about what the hell just happened even before the incredible finale, i could certainly appreciate this movie for more than the 100 year old man i'm hopelessly in love with. the cast of characters is just great great great great GREAT!! bunch of weird little freaks with wonderful quirks. big fan of movies about small towns filled with distinctive oddballs. probably a VERY strange comparison but it came to mind! amos and odie are so funny. bob newhart's a lil cutie and wren is a brilliant character too. AMAZING!!!
