Dune: Part Two
Not entirely sensical or cohesive thoughts about dune 2
Easily one of the best sci fi movies in some time if not ever continuing on from a great establishment in the first movie which usually i hate when films are split in two but hey defaintly needed in this case, because even with just over 5 hours bewtween both films theres still so much more they couldve included, that will probably (hopefully) be saved for Messiah,
sound mixing in some places is the only issue i have with this movie in places some lines were quite mumbled, and incomprehensible, though much praise for the subtitles of this movie
Cinematography wise this film is absolutley stunning, at times the change between the bright desert sun and the dark of the sand storms was a bit jarring.
THE SAND WORMS Alone are just insanly cool. The turn of the worms from being the threat to being just a tool, adding to the expansion and knowledge that we gain of the desert.
The focus of the movie being the contagion and the weponization of faith very fucking cool the further expanison of Paul's uncertainty into stepping in to the role and having Chani with a much more central role in this movie with her doubt and the way she slowly loses faith in paul throughout the last half.
Lady Jessica easily being one of the most intresting characters in the way that yes she wants Paul safe but clearly has her own agenda and always has her own plans.
Chalamet's best performance to date, i think he works really well even in the big loud moments which we havent really seen much from him as usually hes not in this kind of role, except for the king (but thats only one or two scenes) very compelling and intresting to watch actor,
Austin Butler intense as hell defaintly a really cool part for him.
Tdlr: Amazing movie need to rewatch asap
