Carnival Phantasm

Arguments can very well be made for this having the catchiest anime opening of all time. I just finished the Tsukihime Remake (which is a masterpiece) so I decided to revisit this, since I remember not getting some of the Tsukihime character jokes the first time around, only having played around half of the original. Well it was definitely worth it! Carnival Phantasm is on constant overload and provides one good parody bit after the other, my favorites probably being the “afterschool alleyway alliance”, the entire last episode and Lancer constantly dying, basic I know. In general I really enjoyed seeing all of these characters I love being happy and having fun, since the terrorist of a writer we know and love, Nasu, doesn’t seem to enjoy writing that much of that.
