Nope

This movie was one of the main catalysts to why I did this project. Its influences of close encounters and especially Jaws made me want to explore not just Speilberg’s filmography but the films he’s influenced as well. It also helps that this is a perfect movie. So thematically rich and so conceptually terrifying. Every element of this movie works. It’s so beautifully shot and rendered and the characters are so vivid and layered. The story is engaging and maintains this level of dread and horror until it all explodes into this insane spectacle in the third act. I love this movie and it’s my favorite of the decade so far. How lucky I am to get to watch this movie for the rest of my life.
