Hereditary

What an absolutely beautiful work of art I’ve witnessed. This is gladly up there with the best horror movies I’ve ever seen. The way this shot too man, whoever was behind those cameras whipping them around for these incredible shots needs their pay raised NOW. Even thought a lot of horror movies have the whole « possession » genre, this has to be my absolute peak. It really brings a unique aspect to actually see how these mystic beings actually work and for it to be an actual GOD instead of your run of the mill cheap ghost, you can truly feel the weight difference. At some point you just have to wrap it up and accept that’s it’s over, the game was rigged from the start for all these characters. I also love the reliance on the small little details and overall suspenseful nature instead of the cheap jumpscares we often get these days.
