Arrival

I remember exactly where I was when I watched this for the first time. 11th grade 4th period. We had a lunch break in the middle of the movie and I ended up just watching it on my phone at lunch. I remember finishing the movie just seconds before I had to go to my next class and having an existential crisis in the hallway. The movie was so good and arguably one of the movies that made me fall in love with movies. I’ve been scared to rewatch this because I was scared I wasn’t gonna be impacted as much as I saw it the first time. But boy oh boy was I so glad I was wrong. This movie is so insanely good. Beautiful. Heartbreaking. Life-shattering. It’s a sci-fi film that doesn’t feel like a sci-fi film. This movie has done things for me that only Dune and Interstellar have been able to do. I’m not a huge sci-fi fan but man do I love this movie.
