Stalker

Another viewing of this film. This shit slaps. Literally possibly one of the best films ever made. Especially when you read into how the production was total hell, it truly is so impressive that this film turned out the way it did. Tarkovsky is not afraid to allow a shot to linger for a long time but the frame is always kept visually interesting, or the film has given you enough to digest that you are sat there thinking about it’s themes with the characters. The small cast gives such a broad range of human perspective on the events of the film, as well as their individual world views which cumulates to such a strangely satisfying ending. It was not an ending I was anticipating, but it still left me really content and was totally worth the journey. This is an absolute must watch for anyone who enjoys film. A masterpiece.
