Sinners
Wow what a crazy movie, I got to experience it in 70mm at the universal city walk.
The use of music is extremely powerful, the through line that connects every generation. Sound is remixed (or appropriated) but each sound is of an “era.” (Like the end credit scene and how the protagonist electric music was bad teehee)
I also think about freedom or true freedom, all the characters wanted to be emancipated, it be from Jim Crow South, Christianity/religion or past experience (military). Vampirism was another way to get to freedom
Really enthralled by the dialogue in the first half, and the action pieces at the end were superb.
