Avengers: Infinity War
An absolutely amazing movie and easily one of the best superhero films ever made. The decision to have Thanos win was bold and made for one of the most shocking endings in any superhero movie. The stakes were raised immediately with Thor, Loki, and Hulk getting wrecked in the opening scene, and the film didn’t slow down from there. Seeing major characters actually die, whether temporary or not, added so much weight to everything. Thor’s entrance into Wakanda? Probably the coolest superhero entrance of all time. The Wakanda battle as a whole was top-tier. Thanos himself is one of the best villains ever, not just because he wins but because his philosophy and one-liners are downright iconic and quotable. The CGI was incredible, especially for Thanos, and the action was phenomenal throughout. If there’s one thing I didn’t love, it was how they handled Hulk. I get him losing to Thanos in the opening, but making him too scared to come back just didn’t feel right. Other than that, this movie was near perfection. Also, seeing this in theaters was an experience like no other. I’ve never been in a theater where the audience was so shocked and completely silent walking out. The only movies that even come close to this experience are Endgame and No Way Home.
