“The blood of the martyrs will water the meadows of France.” Yeah, I don’t give a fuck anymore. This is the 17th 5-star Everyone has a movie that they watched 50+ times as a kid. A movie that can do no wrong, no matter how glaring the issues are. This is that movie for me for some reason.> This is my nostalgic 5-star. Are there issues? Yes, yes there are. Do I give a single fuck? No, not at all.> Every. Single. Song. Slaps. Everyone is fantastic, with the star being Eddie Redmayne. Hot take as well: Russell Crowe ain’t even that bad, man. Y’all are just hating to hate. The only “questionable” performance is Hugh Jackman. But even then, the only time he does a bad job is when he sings “Bring Him Home.”> My love of history, and me wanting to be a history professor, makes me love this more as well. The French Revolution is dope. I get that this is the June Uprising, not the Revolution, but close enough?> The actual Revolution is dope. They did a fantastic job with it. You really care for the people you’ve known for less than 40 minutes.Yeah. This is just that good. It will be in my Spotify Wrapped.
