Sicario
“Time to meet god”
Holy shit. This movie is outstanding. From the very first scene, you know it’s going to be brutal, ruthless, and unapologetically violent. I’ve never felt more tense watching a movie than I did during the border crossing scene. The music, the cinematography, the lighting, the acting—literally everything in that scene was done to complete perfection. This movie builds tension like no other.> Every single scene with Alejandro and Matt keeps you on the edge of your seat because you honestly don’t know what’s going to happen next. When the reveal came that Alejandro is part of the Colombian cartel, I knew some crazy shit was about to go down. Then we get to the dinner scene, which honestly may be the best scene in the movie. The tension and the sense of horror being built in that moment are otherworldly.> Emily Blunt’s acting was pure perfection. Seeing her at the height of her career is something special. Benicio Del Toro delivered the performance of his career in this movie. The ruthlessness emanating from him throughout is jaw-dropping.This movie is genuinely phenomenal. Denis Villeneuve is my favorite director of all time. He is truly magnificent.
