Midnight Mass

Fucking hell. I mean, wow, man. Wasn’t sure going in if I’d like this as much as Hill House tbh, and I ended up liking it even more. Both are masterpieces, but this takes the cake for me. Hamish Linklater, dude. Holy shit. What a performance. Side note, I saw before I started this that he said he’s bad at memorizing long stretches of dialogue, and that he hates having long monologues, which made watching this kinda hilarious cause he has SO many of those 😭 but he killed it every time Also, Flanagan is 2/2 with these shows making me wayyy more emotional than I expected. I cried during three separate episodes of this. It’s so beautifully written.  And the scares were fantastic too. I genuinely think there wasn’t a single jump scare that didn’t get me at all. Which is actually saying a lot given that I don’t usually get scared much by jump scares, cause I can usually feel them coming.  This show is probably the best limited series of all time in my eyes. Genuinely perfect. Maybe up there as an all timer show in general (Hill House too).  Really excited to watch the other Flanagan shows, even if they’re not quite on the level of these two
