Lost in Translation
About 7 years ago I watched a movie called the Shawshank redemption. From that point on it has been my favorite movie by far. When I was watching the credits, I cried because I knew that I would never experience a movie like this for the first time again. I have been grateful for that movie for a long time, because it revealed to me what I wanted to do when I grow up, and that was to do anything in cinema. While Shawshank had an amazing run being at the top, it has been dethroned.
Lost in translation is the perfect movie.
I was not at all prepared for the final scene. I knew it was going to happen at some point, but it just hit me like a car. I didn’t cry during the movie tho, that hit me about 30 minutes after in the shower, when I realized just how impactful, and impressive that final scene is.
Their has been 3 movies where I sit through the credits, and just kind of proses what I just saw. Babylon, the Shawshank Redemption, and this.
