this review marks my 13th wes anderson flick and my completion of his existing filmography. big day. i related most to the roadrunner.

there’s a cate blanchett performance in this thing that has actually blown my mind entirely and it earned her ONE of TWO oscar nominations she received that year. todd haynes has a real talent for capturing the *feel* and the *experience* of things in a way that is completely opposed to traditional story structure and narrative, for better or for worse. its a vibes-based approach. it really works for me.
