Parasitehobb shaw9.9· February 4, 2021FollowBlack & White version On this rewatch I really focused on the other workers in the movie. The Kim family tricks and gets other workers fired throughout the movie. This is part of the reason the Kims will always be low-class and never greatly succeed. Because of instead of working together, i.e forming a union, they have to betray their fellow worker to get ahead. They play by the rich mans handbook, and fail. They abuse capitalism for their own benefit instead of showing compassion for their fellow worker. They even try and justify this in the movie, Mr. Kim asks if the driver has found a job by now. And Kevin responds saying he’s young and handsome, and he’s probably found a better job. Some may say that the Kim family are the villains of this story. And you may scoff at them wondering how they got so detached from empathy. But it’s not black & white, Everyone in the movie is a victim of capitalism and how it brainwashes people into thinking any of this is okay.CommentsSign in to react and join the conversation.Sign inGet the appSee all hobb's reviews for Parasite (6)First watch9.9December 14, 2019Rewatch 19.9April 8, 2020Rewatch 29.9April 30, 2020Rewatch 39.9February 4, 2021Rewatch 49.9January 6, 2022Rewatch 59.9June 3, 2022
