I Saw the Devil

If you could think of “John Wick” meets Jason Bourne, except in reverse, that’s this almost to a tee. Except the protagonist is having fun torturing the villain and just makes sure to never kill him: only leave him in agonizing pain for next time. This movie is so excruciatingly intense I literally couldn’t tell where it was going. But goodness gracious is that it’s secret weapon. Every time you think you know what’s about to happen: curveball. And the violence is so extreme honestly I’d say it makes it a tough watch. Once the ending came around, I couldn’t lift my jaw off the floor. It will leave a soul haunted for a long time. I enjoyed every minute and every frame of this genius film.
