Fellini: “It’s not a film that’s meant to be understood. It’s meant to be felt” I’m not normally one who falls for films with surrealist qualities or vague nonlinear storytelling, but 8 1/2 just hypnotizes me. I don’t always understand it, but I do feel it - a liberating sensation that’s enhanced on rewatch.
