Rear Window
“I'm not much on rear window ethics”
Excellent film. I’m not obsessed with it, but I can’t find a flaw. It’s clever and witty with great acting. It scratches every suppressed itch of voyuerism. Come the end, every moment has you waiting on edge (Hitchcock suspense…it’s true). Every plot point and character feels purposeful and valuable. And not for a second does the solitary location or constant perspective get stale - in fact the opposite, becoming key to the uniqueness and seductiveness of the film. I feel like I could watch this again tomorrow with equal satisfaction and entertainment.
