Chernobyl
I honestly don’t see the hype with Chernobyl. It’s impressive and some of the sequences truly are earth-shattering and downright horror at its best but there really are some scenes that do drag for a while and characters who’s meanings I appreciate but I feel serve no purpose to my comprehension of the whole ordeal.
That is, until the final episode.
After just finishing it, the final episode could very well be the greatest tv episode ever made. The only ones I could even consider in the same breath of it is Plan and Execution from Better Call Saul and the finale of Succession. That episode is legitimately the easiest way to completely lose faith in the idea of a structured political system. There are a couple rage-inducing pieces of dialogue that fill me with the desire to time travel back to ‘86 just yell at a couple people that need to hear it. The three main characters are phenomenal but Harris’s depiction of a man who believes his life to be insignificant at the end is just ridiculously right. What a miniseries.
I will say I continue to know nothing about Chernobyl
