Whiplash

one of my favorite movies of all time. the whole buildup of the movie is crazy, and the ending is textbook. it’s one of those endings where you just sit there after tbh. this movie makes you want to be obsessed with your craft. It makes you look at whatever you do and be like, am I really going as hard as I could be? Miles Teller snapped in this role. Knowing the work that went into him playing the drums and making it feel real makes the performance even more impressive.  I also love the way this movie looks. the color grading, the cinematography, all of it has that intense jazz feel to me. It’s one of my favorite looking films. I always recommend this to everybody I talk to.
