i normally despise anything merely close to a musical, but that was an extraordinary film. I cannot fathom how much comfort and happiness this brought me, films like this remind me why i love movies so much. bette midler absolutely has my whole heart, she is truly exceptional. this film shaped friendship, womanhood, love and loss for me and i will always cherish this film.
