Heat

Simply superb. Perfect performances, engaging story and tension that is so palpable. The dialogue is also just perfect and there’s so many scenes that are written to absolute perfection. De Niro and Pacino are putting on career defining performances and Val Kilmer was surprisingly brilliant here as well. The last thing I saw him in was Batman Forever but I guess that’s not exactly much to go by. There’s so many scenes that draw you in and I love how the film doesn’t give itself away in anyway shape or form and I genuinely had no idea how the film was going to end. The ending is again superb and the ending line and shot just caps the film off in such an amazing way. The score, cinematography and everything I’ve forgotten are all perfect and I can’t wait to see more of Mann’s filmography!!!
