HIS & HERS
"We humans are capable of inflicting such misery. Such cruelty. Such pain. And yet, the most dangerous thing we do is lie to others and to ourselves."
Wow. That was fucking incredible.
His & Hers is a gripping whoddunit mystery-crime story that begins when Anna, a journalist, goes back to her home town to cover a murder story which is investigated by her husband and detective, Jack. The plot and story progression is so damn well-put that you'll be pointing fingers at a different person each episode.
Each character's personality, upbringing, and secret backstory contributed excellently at bringing the theme of there's always two sides to the same story. It was written in a way that the viewers will need to watch and open their minds to countless possibilities because of the point that we really will see what we wanna see no matter how obvious the truth is. And that's exactly what this show did. It pushed me to believe what it pointed me to know, hiding its evidences blatantly beneath various distractions.
Definitely a must watch. His & Hers perfectly captures of what a carefully crafted plot twist must be. What a total shocker. We will never really know someone besides our own. Because in the end, a lie that benefits others is a lie that is OURS to keep. That is, if the truth is something dangerous for for us to tell.
