Love Between Lines follows Xiao Zhiyu and Hu Xiu, who meet through a Republic of China–themed murder mystery game VR styles. Amidst scripted roles, falling snow, and hidden spies, a spark quietly ignites between them. When they reunite in the real world, the truth behind each other’s identities slowly comes to light. Hu Xiu is an aspiring architect who never got the chance to pursue further into the career. Luckily, that's when Ziyu comes in and changed her life completely. This drama was such a heartfelt and inspiring watch for me. The characters and their struggles were portrayed realistically. The cinematography and music was topnotch too. Not to mention how amazing each episode was and the way plot progresses. The dynamics of the leads was got me hooked too. They were just too cute to see. I really how Hu Xiu and her character development throughout the whole series. She started off struggling and lost without a blueprint of her life, but she persevered and never gave up. She chased her dream confidently and followed her heart. On top of that, I really admired how smart she was with every decision she makes. She was THE murder-mystery queen, even outside of Rongcheng. Now, Xiao Zhi Yu or should I say Qin Xiaoyi was the goat and a green flag. He was wise and calculated even as an NPC, but in real life he was also a genius. Him showing his soft side to Hu Xiu was seriously adorable. I was proud how he overcome his past, and let other people especially Hu Xiu to let love inside his heart. He always reassured Hu Xiu and chased her when things go South. That's the true definition of a gentleman right there. Love Between Lines proved that a traumatic past or bad experience is not equal to an uncertain or unclear future. Even the lines between love gets blurry, it will eventually finds it way. Safety above everything else should be a priority because a structure with poor materials will never be able to stand high. In a murder-mystery game or even in real life, Hu Xiu and Qin Xiaoyi will always win. Because the bond that ties them together is designed as strong as a building with love as a foundation and forever as its vision.
