Ex Machina

what an amazing film.  thematically, acting, visually, it was all amazing.  i was not expecting that to play out how it did, and i’m honestly just speechless and mesmerized. what a simple, yet complex story. this has to be one of the best artificial intelligence films ever, and i’m sure i could argue that it’s the best, without even seeing many others. this is one of those pieces of precautionary art that we’ll look back on either extremely positively for going about ai the right way, or it’ll be something where we’re full of regret and have some realizations about where we went wrong; unfortunately i’d bet on the latter.  well done mr. garland.
