Sinners

"You know something? Maybe once a week, I wake up paralyzed reliving that night. But before the sun went down, I think that was the best day of my life. Was it like that for you?" Coogler got sooooo far into "just hand him a blank check" territory with this one. This is my third rewatch and each time I’ve noticed something new. But somehow, it has that ability to put the toothpaste back in the tube when it comes to the electricity of some of these scenes. Goosebumps every time. Special, special stuff.
